Plan your outing
Choose a route suitable for your troop. Check terrain, access, and recent cache logs. Follow your organization’s supervision and safety rules.
Build skills. Find adventure.
Make navigation, teamwork, and outdoor stewardship part of your next troop adventure.
Give everyone a role
Rotate the navigator, searcher, and recorder roles. Practice coordinates, map reading, and fair trading. Talk about what helped your team work together.
Check badge requirements
Use the current official materials for your program. Work with the appropriate leader or merit badge counselor. These printables support learning; they do not award badges.
